Can everyone take part?
Yes, we are glad to see you here!
I have a relative, who's ill. Can we draw together?
Of course. This project was made for helping each other.
You write about cancer. I have another disease/problem, but I want to fight too! Can I take part here?
Yes, of course. We didn't try, but we believe, that this method could work with other diseases. Try it out!
A friend or relative was fighting before my face. He/she lost. Now I have to fight for me, because this experience shocked me so much. Can I take part?
Sure! Unfortunately sometimes people die in this battle, but the ones, who gave all their strenth to save someone, should be sure to save themselves in time!
May I use any technique?
Almost.
- You can draw on your double page, write, sew, glue, add stickers, labels and fabric.
- You can apply your stuff with glue, all kinds of sticky tape and staples.
- Please don't apply too thick materials, otherwise the journal will lose it's form and break apart.
- Please don't apply metallic parts to the Journal! The journals will be sent by post, and sending too heavy packages is expensive!
- You may use dried plants. But don't add fresh plants and fruit to the journal! They could molder and ruin the whole journal. And in many countries it's forbidden to send fruit and vegs by post.
- Please don't apply bottles or containers with liquids! They are forbidden for intercontinental post, and they also could break and flush the journal.
- It's forbidden to use benzine, kerosine, acetone, paint and varnish which are thinned with them. Oil colors (even water-soluble) are forbidden too!
- If you use dry pastel, fix your work with a special varnish or hairspray! Otherwise your picture will dissapear, and the journal gets covered with colored dust.
- Don't use silicon gel and two-part adhesive.
- Please don't use objects made of FIMO.
Can I depict whatever I want?
No.
- You can show your fight for your health and wealth, happiness, and all the other good things you aim for.
You can reassure others, share your optimism, experience and advice.
- In this project it's forbidden to depict tragic moods, moaning, horrors and fears. Dont cultivate pessimism and self-pity here.
- Pictures of death and suffering, bloody scenes, bones and sculls and other horror pictures are forbidden here!
- Laughter is the end of tears. We like jokes, but please be sure not to hurt someone, avoid being ironic and sarcastic.
- Of course it's forbidden to promote drugs or pornographic content and to offend someones nationality or religion.

I have a friend in an other city/country, and I would like to send him the journal. Can I do this?

I designed the last page in a journal. What's next?
Write to me: yana.battleinside@gmail.com and i'll contact you!
Why do you do this?
Because doing a big project with lots of people is fun. Because I am always looking for ways how to help myself, and ideas, how to make life better. To support those, who has a hard time. (It's a great feeling, you know?) Because I think, that it's a good feeling to see your work in the gallery, to know you are not alone, and make others feel the same. And, finally, we do it to fill the world with some more beautiful things!
I want to try, but I can't draw and I have no ideas.
Take a look at the gallery, use the works of others as an inspiration. Read here, what you could and should draw.
How many journals are there?
There are 1000 journals, and all of them are numbered.
